Anna and John were married at Falside Mill on a warm, sunny Saturday in September. The couple hired our VW split screen camper and asked us to create a statement backdrop for photographs. They wanted a designated photo area with an eye-catching backdrop that complimented their wedding style and theme. To elevate their rustic barn wedding they hired our wooden herringbone back drop. This was used to display their own ‘The Wilsons’ neon sign. Our large statement peacock chairs were sat in front of the backdrop to allow the couple and their guests to ‘take a load off’ and strike a pose.
We filled the area with some smaller props and placed our own dried flower arrangements along the top corners of the backdrop. This was quite a simple design, but had such a big impact on arrival. The raw materials tied together with the elegance of soft furnishings and that stunning Neon sign hit the spot just right.
It’s not wrong what people say, it’s a small world we live in and we always laugh when we see one of our set ups doing the rounds on social media. This set up was no different at Anna and John’s wedding, their guests loved the back drop and made the most of getting a snap or two throughout the day. We always find these sort of set ups tend to be the most popular with our couples, I think they realise that the wedding day it’s self is over so quickly, having the photo spots encourages more people to take more photos which are there to look back on forever.
Now, this was a busy day for our Split screen. We picked John and his Groomsmen up from Dundee and headed across the water to just beyond St. Andrews, we got the guys dropped off and whilst waiting on Anna and her Bridesmaids made use of the time to get some photos. John was anxious to get round the venue and make sure everything was as it should be so we let them get on and we headed off to collect Anna and her Bridesmaids. After picking the Bridal Party up we took a slow drive down to the Venue, ensuring we were there right on time. Anna needed no assistance and took no hesitation in getting out the van, she was ready to go. We got parked up beyond the main entrance, against one of the big Barn style doors. The bus was left there for guests and our now married couple to get lots of amazing photos with - they looked over joyed with happiness and wanderlust.
Thank you both so much, it was lovely getting to know you on the build up to your wedding. We wish you love, health and happiness in your future life together as Mr and Mrs Wilson.
